Dundee, MS

Dundee was a microwave radio auxiliary (repeater) station, originally built for TD2 (4 GHz band) radio service, and later expanded with an addition to house TH (6 GHz band) equipment for an "overbuild" route. Dundee linked stations in Marianna, AR to the northwest and Clarksdale, MS (which was also a flood-plain building) to the south-southwest, as part of a long north-south route. The station's principal facilities are a 275 foot type H tower and an unusual 35 foot tall "flood-plain" repeater building, with the equipment floor located above ground level to protect it against flooding of the station's low-lying surroundings.
